Need a payment plan? Just choose “Easy Payment Plan” at checkout. A $500 non-refundable deposit is due at the time of check-out. The remainder of your trip is broken up into 6, monthly installments starting 30 days after check-out. 

Room Layout:

  • Quad: 2 twin beds downstairs and 2 twin beds in the loft
  • Triple: King bed down stairs and 2 twins in the loft
  • Double: can be configured with king or single beds
  • Suite: King bed a pull-out couch. This room is booked for couples or friends sharing a room. Prices are listed as pr person. 
  • Private: Private room

Booking Instructions:

  • If you are booking as a couple or with friends, please let us know so that we can put you in the correct room. 
  • If you book a multi-occupancy room, you will be placed with roommates 

How to get to Costa Rica

The easiest route is for guests to fly into San Jose International Airport (SJO) and book a short flight from SJO to Tambor.

We are happy to assist you with travel and will provide you with a detailed booking info sheet upon registration.

Yes you can. Just choose single occupancy at checout.

I've never been on a getaway before- what should I expect?

You can expect to have daily yoga and meditation classes in the morning and evening on the yoga shala with full views of the ocean. Each day you will have time on the pristine property to relax, swim, hike, enjoy yummy meals, and the company of wonderful people. The retreat center will help you book any excursions you are interested in. You will sharing the property with others on retreat as well as students in yoga and meditation teacher trainings.

RETREAT TERMS:

  1. Travel Insurance
    Direct Path Institute STRONGLY recommends obtaining travel insurance. We regret that we cannot offer any type of refund if you are injured, need to leave the retreat early, are delayed and arrive late, or are unable to attend the retreat on short notice.
  2. Registration Less than 120 days from the start of the retreat
    Students are not guaranteed availability on a scheduled retreat if they register during this time period.  Please contact Direct Path Institute by e-mail or phone regarding details on availability and pricing.  Late enrollment surcharges may apply.
  3. Cancellation and Refund Policy:
    1. If canceling with 6 months’ notice, students receive a full refund less the $500 deposit fee
    2. If cancelling within 3 months, guests receive a $1500 credit toward future travel that can be used up to one year after the cancellation date 
    3. Within 3 months of travel, the retreat is non-refundable. Travel insurance is strongly suggested to protect your investment.
  4. Late arrival or early departure from retreat
    In the event that your arrival to or departure from the retreat is delayed for any reason (including, but not limited to: weather, mechanical difficulties, airline delays, political unrest, etc.), Direct Path Institute cannot offer any refunds or compensation for any losses incurred.  It is the responsibility of the traveler to obtain travel insurance if they so desire. Direct Path Institute will make every attempt to adjust the retreat and provide assistance in such instances. The student is responsible for all incurred transportation and airline fees associated with late arrival or early departure.
  5. Partner Resort and Tour Modifications: If at any time before Retreat start date, Direct Path Institute determines that a partner resort /tour company is not meeting service and/or facility requirements (under construction, fire or weather damage, change of ownership, etc…) Direct Path Institute reserves the right to substitute an alternate partner resort/tour company of equal or greater quality.

6. Teacher Modifications: In the instance that a scheduled instructor is not able to attend the yoga retreat, or cannot fill the yoga retreat to capacity, Direct Path Institute reserves the right to substitute an alternate certified yoga instructor, or reduced the number of yoga instructors scheduled. No refunds are provided for reduced number of instructors or substitute instructors.

7.Tour/activity Modifications: All group events, activities, and transfers are paid for at time of booking. Therefore, Direct Path Institute is unable to offer refunds for any unused portion of the retreat. If weather or any other event causes an excursion or activity to be canceled, Direct Path Institute will make every effort to reschedule that event or find an alternative, but cannot offer refunds for any itinerary changes or cancellations.

8. Documentation: A valid passport is required to enter Costa Rica. American and Canadian citizens do not need a visa to enter Costa Rica, but non-U.S. citizens transferring to the U.S. en route may need an American visa. It is the responsibility of each traveler to ensure that they have all proper documentation for the duration of the retreat.

9. Additional services and charges: Travelers are responsible for all additional charges incurred at resorts that are not specified in packages. These items can include but are not limited to gratuities, any additional food or beverages, additional tours or spa treatments, laundry service, communication services, etc.  It is the responsibility of the traveler to understand what items are included in the retreat, and what items are additional. Any such charges must be paid before departure from the resort.

10. Changes to policies: Direct Path Institute reserves the right to review and adjust terms and policies. A retreat will refer to the terms posted at the time of retreat.
