Connecticut Mindfulness Teacher Training: Training Begins January 20th and 21st, 2024

CEC’s:  NASW, CT 48 hours LCSWs,  LMSWs, LMFTs, LPCs, and licensed psychologists. Yoga Alliance registered yoga teachers 50 hours. This course also counts towards 3 modules of the 500 hour yoga teacher training program.

Course Highlights:

  • Hybrid Learning: Our program offers a flexible blend of in-person and online training, allowing you to access transformative knowledge from anywhere in the world. Join us for in-person sessions on January 20th-21st, March 23rd-24th, and May 18th-19th (8am-4pm), Sept. 7th (Capstone Presentation Day) and self-paced, online learning in between.
     
    Capstone Project: After completing the in-person training, you’ll have three months to create and execute a Capstone/Practicum project tailored to the demographic of your choice. This hands-on experience ensures you’re ready to apply your newfound expertise in real-world settings.
     
    Personal Practice and Burnout Prevention: Cultivate your own personal mindfulness and meditation practice as a foundational tool for self-care and resilience. Learn how to combat burnout and stress, both personally and in your professional life.
     
    Ancient Wisdom Meets Modern Science: Dive deep into the ancient wisdom of Yogas, including Samkhya and Yoga Darshana, along with the insights of Buddhism. Our program integrates these timeless philosophies with cutting-edge research and contemporary mindfulness practices.
     
    Comprehensive Mindfulness Training: Gain practical experience in mindfulness and meditation, covering a spectrum of practices, from mindful eating and communication to advanced meditation techniques. Jessica Proulx is the Co-Founding director of Direct Path Institute and is a 20-year veteran Yoga, Meditation, and Eastern Philosophy teacher. She was the founding director of The OM Center and has been a lead teacher on dozens of Yoga and meditation teacher training programs over the last 12 years. She has facilitated retreats in the US, Central America, and Southeast Asia and leads training programs across the globe. In recent years she has focused on movement, meditation, trauma, and the nervous system. She is a certified 500 hour yoga teacher from the Kripalu School of Yoga & Health and has studied with countless teachers throughout her career. Jess excels in group facilitation, public speaking, and working with students and clients on personal and professional growth. 

Mike Williams is the co-founding director of Direct Path Institute, a teacher and mentor of the meditation teacher training program, a meditation teacher and facilitator, and world-wide retreat leader. Mike brings over 20 years of public speaking and corporate training experience and is IACET (International Association for Continuing Education and Training) certified. As an Electrical Engineer, Mike spent his career conducting training seminars, traveling the world educating industry professionals, and holds multiple patents. Meditation is a fundamental aspect of his life and one that he looks forward to sharing. As a certified meditation teacher and consistent student of meditation, Eastern philosophies, and modern approaches, Mike’s focus is on offering his knowledge and supporting students and clients through their journey.
