The Bhagavad Gita (The Song of God) often referred to as the Gita is a 700 verse Hindu scripture that is part of the epic Mahabharata. It is considered to be one of the holy scriptures of Hinduism and has been revered by spiritual aspirants of many sects for centuries.
Numerous commentaries have been written on the Bhagavad Gita with widely differing views on the essentials. Our conversation reflects the information provided in these commentaries, the views of our teachers, and our own, self-study.
This text provides the landscape to dive more deeply into spiritual study or to simply enjoy historical text and philosophical discussion. The beauty of this text is that it is accessible to all, no matter your religion or beliefs. Take what you need and leave the rest behind.
